Both the Springfield-Hampden County and Three County Continuums of Care (CoC) are seeking applicants for the CoCBuilds program for their respective regions.

The CoCBuilds program will provide a one-time grant of up to $5 million to fund the creation of new units of permanent supportive housing to house people experiencing homelessness in a household that includes one person with a disability.  Funding can cover the costs of acquiring the building/site, rehabilitation, or new construction of permanent supportive housing. The minimum award amount is $1 million. All residents must meet HUD eligibility requirements for permanent supportive housing including meeting HUD’s homelessness and disability definitions.

Each CoC has different timelines, so starting with the most immediate first:

Three County CoC:
Deadline to submit Letter of Intent to Community Action Pioneer Valley is Wednesday, October 9.  Please see their website for more information.

Springfield-Hampden CoC:
The deadline to apply is October 30, 2024, 4 pm. Email [email protected] to request the full RFP.

Thanks to our CoCs for their work – and thanks for considering this opportunity!
