A message from Community Action:
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Community Action has unspent ESG homelessness prevention funds that must be spent out this month (March!) that we do not currently have people in the pipeline for.
As a reminder, the eligibility criteria is the following:
- Individuals or families are eligible
- Must live (or be moving to) Hampshire or Franklin County
- Must have gross household income at or below 30% of the area median income
- Must have received a Writ of Summary (eviction notice).
The assistance can help with up to 6 months of rent and/or utility arrears or moving expenses. Subsidized households are eligible for up to $2,000 and non-subsidized households are eligible for up to $4,000.
We need to spend this money by March 31! If you are working with people that meet this criteria please have them call me directly at 413-376-1177. Please feel free to forward this information to your other networks.
