Hot off the publisher’s press: “Homeless Narratives & Pretreatment Pathways: From Words to Housing” by Jay Levy, a member of our Network’s Leadership Council and Steering Committee, is now available! It includes forwards by other Network leaders, David Modzelewski of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health and Dave Havens of The Mental Health Association and also features the REACH model being implemented here in Western Massachusetts.
Jay writes:
The book is based on my many years of doing outreach counseling, advocacy, and developing housing alternatives for chronically homeless individuals throughout NYC, Boston, and Western MA. This important work tells the compelling stories of people experiencing long-term homelessness, while integrating a pretreatment approach for helping those who are most in need.
It offers an extraordinary look at the challenges and rewards of supporting chronically homeless individuals on their path towards housing and promises to serve as a universal primer for all who are engaged in this work.
