In response to the Administration’s recent announcement to commit another $1 million to the Networks (along with over $500,000 from United Ways across the state), WAMC Northeast Public Radio did a brief piece on the story. Click here to listen.
This announcement came as part of the statewide end-of-pilot-project-period celebration that took place in Worcester last Thursday, September 23. Our Network joined with the nine other networks to mark our accomplishments in the company of state officials, funders and network partners from across the state. I also enjoyed the honor of representing network coordinators on a panel discussing our lessons learned from our successes and challenges.
In terms of the additional funding, we understand that the Request for Responses will be coming out in the next couple of weeks with the expectation of a very short turn-around time. Network partners are preparing to brainstorm our response as soon as the terms are known and to maximize this exciting opportunity as best we can.
