Good news on our Network expansion:
- Chicopee Mayor Michael Bissonnette enthusiastically agreed to join our Leadership Council. We are thrilled to have his commitment and experience on this issue. Mayor Bissonnette has already agreed to host a meeting of area housing authorities to brainstorm ways the Network can support housing authorities’ efforts to house homeless individuals and families. Welcome, Mayor Bissonnette!
- Network members, including Pamela Schwartz, Father Stan Aksamit, Joanne Glier and Rick Willhite, met with Greenfield Mayor Bill Martin, Butch Hawkins of the Greenfield Public Safety Commission and Dan Finn of the Greenfield Housing Authority, to share the work of the Network and to discuss ways to build the partnership between the Network and Greenfield’s efforts around homelessness. It was an important first meeting, and we look forward to building on this dialogue with town officials and the housing authority.
