When the Core Group met today, we talked about our role, and the tasks we have been moving forward. We agreed that the Core Group is functioning in a very short-term way as staff for the Leadership Council and for our regional network. We are anxious to dissolve the Core Group, but want to be sure that we move the initial phases of grant start-up along. We recognize that this is not an ideal situation; once there is a contract in place, we hope to hire a Director and move to the next phase quickly.
