I am pleased to share that TODAY’s 2:30 pm National Low Income Housing Coalition’s National Call on Coronavirus Housing and Homelessness will include a brief presentation by the Network (I shall represent!) on the eviction crisis in Massachusetts. Their invitation stemmed from this Berkshire Eagle article on evictions in MA in which I was quoted on the needed state-level response to the crisis. This national call includes over a thousand participants nationwide, all working in their communities to create an effective housing stability response during this pandemic. I am pleased with this opportunity to bring Massachusetts’ work to our partners across the country.
I also wanted to bring to your attention this past Sunday’s New York Times front page article on The Pandemic’s Toll on Housing: Falling Behind, Doubling Up which offers an important national perspective on our statewide and regional crisis. We are not alone – and we have so much work we can and must do.
