Join us Tuesday, April 6th for CHAPA’s Virtual Housing Day!
In just a few weeks, we’re excited to come together virtually with housing advocates to support the policies and resources needed for everyone in Massachusetts to have a safe, healthy, and affordable home.
Register now to join us and meet with your legislators!
From 10:00–11:00 AM on Housing Day, we’ll hear from elected officials and affordable housing advocates and present CHAPA’s Housing Hero Award. Immediately following, we’ll have an Hour of Action during which we’ll encourage you to use our virtual toolkit to show your support for CHAPA’s policy priorities on social media and connect with your legislators through email and phone or by setting up a meeting.
CHAPA is glad to help you arrange meetings with your legislators. On the event registration form, please let us know if we can assist you in setting meetings with your elected officials
Join us on Housing Day in supporting legislation that:
- Provides more funding for affordable housing programs that help residents with the lowest incomes find and stay in stable homes, like the Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program, Alternative Housing Voucher Program, and Public Housing
- Creates more of the different kinds of affordable and available homes that people need across the state
- Promotes fair housing and combats intentionally and unintentionally discriminatory policies in all of our communities
- Preserves the state’s public housing that many families with children and our elderly and disabled neighbors rely on
