In Pursuit of Ending Homelessness for Young Adults

This conference will bring together local, state and national experts, professionals and practitioners in the field of adolescent mental health and homeless young adults, in an effort to identify program models and strategies that will help lead to ending homelessness for this population. Featured presentations and workshops will focus on such topics as: Prevention; Employment, Skill Development & Mentoring; Peer Supports; Mental Health Services; and Housing.
Participants will learn about new initiatives including the Unaccompanied Youth Commission; the work of the Mass Interagency Council on Housing & Homelessness Advisory Board on Homeless Youth in addition to hearing directly from young adults who have experienced homelessness. The conference will engage participants throughout the day in a range of sessions examining successful program models and strategies; with a goal of developing a set of recommendations for consideration by the Commission.
This conference is targeted to individuals who work with Transition Age Youth (TAY) and homeless youth /young adults in various settings, such as mental health services, homeless shelters, street outreach, support services, housing and advocacy. Participants will include those impacted by homelessness, direct service workers, program managers and directors of agencies.
