On April 13, all of the Western region’s family and individual providers interested in applying for Emergency Shelter Grant funds came together to share their intentions and review them for any duplication or gaps in services. The good news is that we found no duplication. We did discover a gap in family prevention services for Hampden County. After excellent dialogue among Center for Human Development, HAP and New England Farm Workers’ Council, all agreed that HAP was best suited to move forward with an application based on its ongoing and well-established prevention program in Hampden County. They also agreed to continue the dialogue to ensure the ESG application maximized coordination of services.
Thanks to all for making a coordinated and comprehensive call for ESG funding in our region.
