Every step closer to reality for access to counsel in evictions is cause for celebration and we have a new one:
The Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation released its Request for Proposals to establish an Access to Counsel Pilot Project. This project will increase access to full legal representation to low-income tenants and low-income owner occupants in eviction proceedings in Massachusetts. Proposals are due by Nov. 12 (intent to apply by Nov. 8). You can read all about it here.
