The Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance (MHSA) announced a Request for Proposals to allocate $2 million in additional Home and Healthy for Good (HHG) Funds that will provide flexible funds for housing operations, supportive services, and the development of new housing units to expand the network of high-quality, low-threshold Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) for unaccompanied adults experiencing chronic or long-term homelessness with a disabling condition.

The following areas will be prioritized for funding: communities with high unsheltered homelessness, high shelter occupancy, low housing affordability, or geographic areas where there are currently no HHG projects (see HHG progress report).

Timeline: Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until March 31, 2024. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The funds must be expended on the projects for reimbursement by June 30, 2024. The HHG awards may be renewed beyond FY24 depending on the availability of state funds and project status.
