The Fiscal Year 2024 budget, passed by the State Legislature on July 31, now awaits the Governor’s signature or line-item vetoes by August 10. This budget provides many significant investments in housing and homelessness programs and other areas related to our mission (public transportation, education, mental health and more). Below are additional analyses to assist with understanding the scope of what the budget includes:
CHAPA FY24 Budget Analysis (quick comparisons between FY23 and FY24 funding in many of our key priority areas)

Funding universal school meals, regional transit, and early childhood education are just a few of the additional areas of investment that will directly impact our efforts to prevent and end homelessness. We will continue to provide additional information when the budget is finalized by August 10.
