The Western Massachusetts Network to End Homelessness is proud to be a co-sponsor of this important event in our region:
On March 8th at 6 pm, the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) Advocates Coalition and regional partners invite you to participate in Advancing Regional Transit: A Pioneer Valley Roundtable. This virtual event will equip stakeholders and policymakers in the Pioneer Valley with information and connections needed to join the fight for equitable public transit. This is the second in a series of regional engagements throughout the state.
Please add your voice. Register today for this important event!
RTAs provide an essential service, connecting riders in the Valley with resources like food, housing, jobs, education, health care and education. Due to chronic underinvestment and limited support, these services are insufficient, cutting riders off from opportunity.
We need your help to uplift communities in the PVTA and FRTA service areas by convincing legislators to increase funding for RTAs in the FY23 budget and pass the RTA Advancement bill (S.2277/H.3413), which was just reported favorably out of the Joint Committee on Transportation. This critical legislation, sponsored by Rep. Natalie Blais and Sen. Harriette Chandler, would pave the way for the funding, reforms and technical support RTAs need to provide more robust, affordable and efficient service.
Join us for Advancing Regional Transit: A Pioneer Valley Roundtable on March 8th at 6 pm, where you will:
– Hear more about the RTA Advancement bill and how it advances equity, economic opportunity, climate resiliency and more
– Share local challenges and opportunities
– Take action to support RTA communities
We look forward to seeing you then! Please register today!
