Our Western MA State Legislators led the charge in demanding the Administration act immediately and comprehensively to address the crisis facing people who are experiencing homelessness. 57 State Legislators, 17 of whom are from Western Massachusetts, signed this letter to Governor Baker and Secretary Sudders outlining the urgent action steps that must be taken now.
Our Western MA leaders made this happen.
I know I am writing on behalf of our entire Network when I say to our entire 4-county Western MA delegation: Thank you.
Additionally, Representative Sabadosa and Representative Mark have filed legislation (HD4952) to similar effect that has the support of our Western MA delegation.
The work across our community has been constant since this crisis hit. And the way it is unfolding is yet another demonstration of the extraordinary partnership in our region, how we come together as elected leaders, city and town managers, providers, advocates and community members to make our voices heard in service of the people in greatest need. We have reason to feel both proud and grateful. Let’s use it to add to our fuel as we continually demand an appropriate State response in the face of this immense challenge.
With my own personal gratitude and in the finest tradition of Western Massachusetts solidarity,
Pamela
