Secure Jobs Connect Celebrated Its Success!

On Friday, January 10, the Western Massachusetts Network to End Homelessness and its partners hosted a celebration of Secure Jobs Connect, a jobs program for homeless families funded by the Fireman Foundation and HAPHousing.  Over 100 people gathered at the Kittredge Center of Holyoke Community College, including a dozen state legislators, mayors, DHCD Undersecretary Aaron Gornstein, business leaders and representatives from virtually every sector of our four county community, to celebrate 156 new jobs for parents of families who experienced homelessness.  Mothers served by the program shared their personal stories of their path from homelessness to employment to stable housing and brought home in the most powerful way possible the impact of this program’s support.
