MRVP FY10 budget comes out of Conference Committee mostly intact

There have been several requests on this blog for advocacy on the budget for MRVP–here, here, here, and here.  The line item had been funded at $35.8 million for the current year, and was threatened with a cut of almost 50%.  You did your work well.  The budget coming out of the conference committee is just shy $30 million. In addition, MassHousing is committed to providing $2.5 million, bringing total funding to just under $32.5 million.  It’s not full funding, but it’s significantly better than what we started with.  Great work.
