Report on Leadership Council Meeting, 3/25
The Leadership Council met on March 25, 2009, at Westfield State College. Draft minutes are attached.
The Council unanimously selected Dr. Evan Dobelle, President of Westfield State College, as its Chair, and Lynne Wallace, Vice President of Dietz & Company Architects, as its Vice-Chair. See the news announcement here.
The primary work at this meeting was review and discussion of draft Bylaws and on MOU between the Leadership Council and the Pioneer Valley Regional Ventures Center. The Council suggested a number of revisions to these documents. The Bylaws and MOU will be posted shortly, showing the requested revisions.
The Leadership Council formed subcommittees on Hiring (to oversee selection of 2 project consultants) and Services and Performance (to oversee selction and performance monitoring of subgrantees). The Council decided to operate as a “committee of the whole” with regard to the approximately $100,000 we need to raise over the next 12 months, with all committee members taking on responsibility for raising the funds.
The next meeting of the Leadership Council will be Wednesday, June 24, 2009, 10 am to noon, at Westfield State College.
