The Local Buzz has been writing about homeless families in motels. Recent stories include The Making of a Welfare Motel, about the River Inn in Springfield, and Alone on the Hill, a profile of a homeless family currently living in Open Pantry’s Jefferson Avenue Shelter.

The River Inn in West Spfld still works with DTA taking in families eligible for shelter but not the one in Spfld. The motel list has not been changed and so there has been some confusion.
